About Dr. Cross
Dr. Cross is a board certified pediatrician at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and a member of the AOA medical honors society. She is an American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) spokesperson
Dr. Cross served on the Executive Board for the AAP’s Council on Communications and Media (COCM) for six years and co-authored the AAP’s policy statements, Children, Adolescents and the Media and the corresponding technical report Children and Adolescents and Digital Media.
She received the Innovation in Medicine award for her work in developing the Family Media Use Plan on HealthyChildren.org which allows parents and caregivers to create media plans that work within their families values and needs.
She serves on the Board of the California Chapter 2 AAP, and has held positions of both Treasurer and Member-At-Large.
She co-created the Fit to Play and Learn Obesity Prevention Curriculum that is used in LAUSD schools to teach healthy eating and lifestyle modifications to at risk youth and their parents. Dr. Cross received the 2017 Associated of Administrators of Los Angeles Community Volunteer Award.

Dr. Cross graduated cum laude from Barnard College with a BA in philosophy. She obtained her M.D. from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences). She completed her internship and pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she still currently works.
